Andy Warhol said, “In the future everybody will be world famous for fifteen minutes.” You can’t choose the 15 minutes but why would you be world famous?

According to Andy Warhol everybody will be world famous for fifteen minutes in their life. That is quite a broad statement because, being famous can stem from a social, political, economic and environmental view, a small concert in a suburb, or dancing the best amongst a crowd of people at a big party. In the end it’s what that gets publicized or viewed about you is what makes you famous to others but not necessarily famous to you.

Wow! Being world famous for fifteen minutes, what a thought! To tell you the truth, I have no idea what I could possibly be famous for fifteen minutes. Usually, the people that are seen to be famous for fifteen minutes are celebrities that have said or done something outrageous (or stupid!) in front of the camera or on radio and it is then rehashed on all the popular social media websites and news bulletins for days to come.

Although I don’t know what I’ll be famous for a period of fifteen minutes, I do know that I’d like to be famous for doing or saying something positive. Once it happens, I’ll let you know!
